Who says soil needs to be dug to be fertile?
Charles Dowding, a British farmer, has proven otherwise with his "No-Dig Gardening" method — or farming without tilling the soil.
The secret is simple:
Soil is a living thing, not a dead thing.
If we leave it to nature, the life within it — worms, microbes, and plant roots — will work together to build fertility naturally. π✨
How?
➡️ Cover the surface of the soil with mature compost or straw
➡️ Plant directly on top, without hoeing
➡️ Each season, simply add a new layer of compost
The results are amazing:
✅ The soil becomes more fertile every year
✅ Fewer weeds
✅ Saves energy and time
✅ A healthy and abundant harvest π

Dowding's philosophy is simple yet profound:
> "We are not fighting nature, but working with it." π
If farming could be this simple, perhaps what we need to change isn't the soil — it's the way we view it. πΎπ±
